Alfred Hitchcok

August 13th, 1899 - April 29th, 1980

Anglo-American director and scriptwriter

One original trick associated with Hitchcock is the fact that he always popped up on-screen for a few seconds during each of his movies. The British film director, who became a US citizen in 1955, made a total of 53 feature films, including Rear Window, North by Northwest, The Birds, and Psycho. His mascot actors included James Stewart, Cary Grant, and Grace Kelly. Today he continues to be seen as the master of suspense.
