Born on October 13th, 1957
Quick-change italian artist
Arturo Brachetti is seen as one of the great masters of transformation. He discovered the world of magic, thanks to a priest in the seminary where he was brought up. Not knowing how to play football when he was small—he’s Italian, after all!—Arturo used his talents to impress his friends with tricks of magic. Leaving Italy with one suitcase and one number, he managed to update the art of quick change, as he traveled worldwide. His repertoire is considerable: he is at once an actor, a stage director, a magician, and a shadow puppeteer. He possesses over 350 costumes. It is this ability not only to switch costumes in the twinkling of an eye, but also to bring out the personality of his different characters which has made him both famous and internationally renowned.
