Hugh Laurie

Born on June 11th, 1959

English actor, musician and writer

This is a man who wears several hats: as an actor, scriptwriter, director, composer, film producer, writer, and singer—that's about the lot! He could have taken up rowing professionally, but he discovered comedy, thanks to Stephen Fry and Emma Thompson. In 2004, Hugh Laurie took on the role of a supposed misanthrope, Dr. Gregory House, in the series House M.D., thus becoming famous throughout the world. In parallel to his acting career, he wrote a best-seller entitled The Gun Seller and he is also one of the group ‘Band from TV’, in which he both sings and plays the piano. His first solo album came out in 2011 and is called Let Them Talk.
