Famous for his musicals Starmania and Notre-Dame de Paris, the front-line musician Luc Plamondon has written songs for top artists. Diane Dufresne, Johnny Hallyday, Robert Charlebois, Ginette Reno, Garou, and Céline Dion have all enjoyed the benefit of his talents as can be seen in their albums. Amongst his outstanding successes, we can mention L’Ile aux mimosas, sung by Barbara, Le monde est stone by Fabienne Thibeault, and Céline Dion singing Des mots qui sonnent. He is the composer of over 500 songs and continues to be a key figure in the milieu of contemporary French-language songs.
