American actress and singer
Born in 1926 in Los Angeles, of a mother who was psychologically fragile and a father who disappeared without leaving any address, the young girl was brought up mainly by an aunt who adored Jean Harlow. Then came marriage, first photos, divorce, her initiation into the movie world… Falling in and out of love, making film after film, this actress, adored by her public for her fatal beauty, finally lost touch with herself and washed her pain away with alcohol and tranquilizers. This would turn out to be a fatal cocktail, but her name will remain forever engraved in the movie stars' Hall of Fame.
