Born on May 22nd, 1970
Naomi Campbell was the first black model to be featured on the covers of Time Magazine and of English Vogue, and she established herself as one of the top in her profession. An occasional actress and singer, she partnered with the Dalaï Lama in a Unesco-sponsored project to build kindergartens in her country of origin, Jamaica.
On the day the Grévin team came to see her in Paris, taking photos and measurements, her telephone never stopped ringing, because Naomi, constantly in demand, was due to appear on television that same evening. But this didn't stop her from taking all the time necessary to help prepare the sculptor’s work.
