Born on January 7th, 1964
American actor, director and producer
Before even beginning to study theatre in High School, Nicolas Coppola decided to change his name and become Nicolas Cage, so as not to be associated with his famous uncle, Francis F. Coppola. And yet it was the latter who offered him his first role, in the 1983 movie Rusty James. In 1996 he won his first Oscar for Best Leading Actor in Leaving Las Vegas, then becoming an action movie icon with films such as The Rock, Con Air and Snake eyes.
When his model was placed in the Paris Grévin Museum in 2011, the actor himself came to inaugurate his character's entry: "I visited the Grévin Museum for the first time when I was 19. I was very impressed and dreamed of the day when my model would be here. Thank you for having brought this dream true. I am very proud and happy."
