Born on June 25th, 1944
Singer and songwriter from Quebec (Canada)
Charlebois is famous for having added music to some of Arthur Rimbaud's poetry. He began his career as a composer-performer in the Sixties and very quickly established his style by building up a mix of popular Quebec poetry and rock music. A generation of young people quickly made his upside down world and his sense of humour their own. The most striking of his lyrics are still those of Lindberg, Conception, and Ordinaire.
