Quebec storyteller, screenwriter and singer-songwriter Fred Pellerin joined the Grévin family following a massive vote of 21,000 online users in 2015. The Grévin Montréal Academy, consisting of ten members chaired by Marc Laurendeau, elected Fred Pellerin among the five finalist selections of the public.
"Fred Pellerin is a personality who deeply touches the hearts of Quebeckers. He transports us so easily and quickly in his fantasy fantasy and so close to us at a time. It is with great pride that we welcome him to Grévin Montréal."- Kathleen Payette, General manager of Grévin Montréal
Fred Pellerin was able to meet and pose for Grévin's artists in Paris, during an appointment organized during one of his tours in Europe. Choice of attitude, expression, photos, video, handprints, hair color and eyes, nothing was left to chance so that the sculptor Élisabeth Cibot and the teams could in 6 months create a perfect copy of the storyteller. In order for realism to be perfect, Fred Pellerin offered Grévin Montréal the clothes and shoes worn by the character.
After accepting this honor, Fred Pellerin emphasized his joy at entering Grévin Montreal: "I know that legendification is a process that can serve to keep the character longer and within reach of history and memory. Speech as a mode of preservation! But I was less familiar with the waxing! From what I am told, I understand that it plays in the same areas. The tribute wax, the wax that preserves ... like a 5-star Masson pot! Flattered. Lit up like a candle!"
All fans of Fred Pellerin can now pose next to his character for a photo and an unforgettable memory. It is presented in a staging of the Paris-Québec area, near the Québec poet, storyteller and singer-songwriter Gilles Vigneault.
